Out of the twenty years of professional experience within people and culture services, Burcu spent thirteen years with BASF, a global chemical manufacturing corporation. She took on increasingly complex roles. In her last role with BASF, she was the Global HR Director for the Construction Chemicals Division, responsible for all Human Resources related activities globally for 7,800 employees, with a team of 120 HR professionals. Burcu led the divestment project for the Construction Chemicals Division globally, managing the transition and ensuring smooth integration with the acquiring entity.

In 2021, Burcu took on an HR Director role for Middle East Africa Russia Turkey & International Partner Markets with Biogen. She focused on a two-year mission implementing the organization’s people strategy, managing all HR activities, and ensuring legal compliance. Burcu was instrumental in setting up the MART Organization with affiliates and led a major organizational transformation project in the Intercontinental region, which includes META, LATAM, APAC, Japan, ANZ, and International Partner Markets.

Today, Burcu is with Hilti Group, a company that develops, manufactures, and markets products for the construction, building maintenance, energy, and manufacturing industries, mainly to the professional end-user. Her mission is to drive the people and culture agenda within her region and contribute to the modernization and innovation of the industry sector. Burcu has a passion for learning and development, where she continuously strives to cultivate people driven by self and professional development.

Burcu's experience encompasses Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures, where she has played pivotal roles in integrating and realigning human capital strategies during major organizational changes. She has led complex Org Design and Restructuring initiatives, ensuring seamless transitions and alignment with business objectives. Additionally, Burcu has spearheaded Organizational Transformation and Culture Transformation projects, driving change management efforts to foster a resilient and adaptable corporate culture.

Burcu holds an Executive MBA from London Business School and is a graduate of Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey, majoring in Business Administration.
